Rabbi Goldie Guy

Rabbi Goldie Guy is passionate about facilitating deep engagement with Jewish text, tradition, and life for all those who seek it. She serves as the Director of Hadar Chicago and is excited to contribute to the building of vibrant, practicing, egalitarian communities of Torah, Avodah, and Hesed here in Chicagoland.

She received semikha from Yeshivat Maharat in 2017 and has served as the Director of Religious Engagement at Anshe Sholom B’nai Israel Congregation, as well as an educator at the Columbia/Barnard Hillel, Drisha, Yeshivat Maharat, SAR High School, and Carmel Academy Middle School. She has studied Torah in a variety of settings, including the Graduate Program in Advanced Talmudic Studies at Yeshiva University, the Beit Midrash for Women at Migdal Oz, and Drisha. She holds a BA in religion from Barnard College of Columbia University.

Goldie lives with her husband Jonathan in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago, where she enjoys walks on the lakefront, especially along the dog- friendly beaches.
