A Guide to Fundraising for your Own Professional Development

In July of 2022, the Center for Rabbinic Innovation, in partnership with the Institute for Jewish Spirituality, offered a training session for clergy across the field on garnering financial support for professional development for rabbis. This workshop helped participants consider:

• Where you can turn to ask for money
• Who you need to ask for general support
• Generate and practice some thoughtful “pitches” for why your community and/or funders should invest in your professional development.
