Finding Your People: Relational Community Building

Back

Beyond ‘tushes in seats.’

Recruitment is a sticky subject in the Jewish community. We all want people to come to our programs but, when we’re being very honest with ourselves, what we really want is for them to magically show up just because they love our _____ (Torah, services, singing, lecture, program, coffee, you name it) so much. Of course, the truth is that getting people to show up for us takes planning, thought, and technique.

Rabbis are in the people business, and as much as we’d like to say it doesn’t matter how many people come, and that “butts in seats” is a reductive metric, we all know in our heart of hearts that we would like to have full rooms and people clamoring for more.

Join us to learn from the best wisdom in relational recruitment, community organizing, and “getting out the vote,” so we can have the reach our high-quality offerings deserve.

“Atra helped me find ways to build another approach to my leadership. These are the *essential* "soft" skills that make communities run. In the 21st century, they need rethinking, and we need retraining. ATRA helps with that process.”
