The Atra Northern New Jersey Rabbinic (re)Design Fellowship, generously supported by the Russell Berrie Foundation, provides tools and strategies immediately applicable to your current context, helping you to renew your vision and enhance your effectiveness.

We invite talented and innovative rabbis and clergy in Northern New Jersey (NNJ), who serve communities based in Bergen, Hudson, and/or Passaic counties, to apply.

What’s involved

Modeled after 8 years of highly impactful national rabbinic fellowships, the Rabbinic (re)Design Fellowship for Northern New Jersey will convene up to 15 of the region’s most talented and innovative spiritual leaders to elevate and evolve their practice as they apply their learning in real time and create new initiatives and partnerships to enhance Jewish life in the region.


Tailored for Your Busy Schedule
We value your time. The 18-month program is designed to be flexible, offering a mix of in-person seminars and monthly touchpoints—including workshops, chevruta, one-on-one coaching, and asynchronous learning to fit your personal schedule.

Kickoff Seminar: March 2024
Mid-fellowship Seminar: January 2025
Closing Seminar: November 2025

 

Eligibility

  • Ordination or investment from a recognized seminary or yeshiva, or an advanced degree in rabbinics.
  • A salaried role in a Jewish organization within Bergen, Hudson, or Passaic counties, NJ.
  • Intent to continue in your current role for at least a year after the fellowship.
  • Decision-making authority within your organization, with support from supervisors or key stakeholders.
  • Full commitment to all fellowship components, including workshops, seminars, and mini-missions.
